Post Doctoral fellow, Cancer Immunology, Focus on Regulatory T cells, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The post-doctoral fellow or research scientist will be engaged in translational projects focused on application of regulatory T cells as a therapy for inflammatory disorders and autoimmune disease. The fellow will be engaged in studying the link between inflammation and cancer and the tumor infiltrating regulatory T cells. Immunology, cancer biology background and in vivo mouse model experience highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to design and execute experiments, work with animals primarily NSG mice participate in the drafting of scientific publications and funding proposals and, with direction from the PI, may supervise technical support personnel. The selected individual will receive strong mentoring and have many opportunities for growth and development as a scientist and to publish high quality work and present at relevant scientific conferences.

Salary: According to NIH guidelines and level of experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in immunology (awarded or anticipated)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
- work with animal/ NSG mouse model
• Publication in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to perform as a team member and good interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and effectively
• Proven track record of problem-solving
