The Department of Soil Sciences of the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture is composed of an interdisciplinary research team focusing on nutrient management and plant symbioses, soil quality and climate. To complement the team engaged in national and international projects, we offer from May 1, 2017 or by agreement a position for a well-qualified Biologist, Agronomist or Environmental Scientist (60 to 100% negotiable)
Requirements
You have completed your PhD and you have some experiences in project acquisition and management. Your main competences are ideally in the research fields of stress tolerance and rhizosphere ecology (plant root symbioses, PGPR, nutrient and drought stress). Expert knowledge in soil molecular biology (qPCR, NGS), coupled with good background experience in microbiology, basic agronomy, and plant nutrition is expected. You are mastering statistics and bioinformatics as tools for advanced data analyses. The candidate shall be fluent in English (orally and written) with a good command of either German or French. Your scientific work is published in outstanding peer reviewed International Journals.
