Postdoc in Experimental Surface Science

The work will focus on materials characterization using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and photoemission spectroscopic characterization of titanium dioxide (TiO2) surfaces for use in catalysis.

The successful candidate will be joining the large research project “ProNOx” involving Dept. of Chemistry at Aarhus University and industry (Haldor Topsoe A/S), seeking to optimize TiO2 carrier materials for use in selective catalytic reduction (NOx abatement) applications.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated scientist with a recent PhD degree and documented experience in surface science-type studies or similar. It is advantageous if you already have experience with either high-resolution scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) or non-contact AFM under ultra-high-vacuum or synchrotron-based spectroscopy.
