Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Gary Ostroff in the Program in Molecular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Our laboratory uses yeast-derived glucan shells as a versatile phagocyte-targeted drug delivery system for small molecules, nucleic acid, protein and nanoparticulate payload classes. We are currently focused on utilizing the technology to support the development of agricultural, veterinary and consumer products, and human infectious disease and inflammatory drug and vaccine applications through academic and industry collaborations. Additionally we are developing new targeting and controlled drug release strategies to enhance the capabilities of our drug delivery system.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative and enthusiastic candidate with hydrophobic drug delivery experience. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D in chemistry or material sciences.
