摘要:

Postdoctoral Fellow - Cardiac Regeneration : Philadelphia, PA, United States

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Center for Translational Medicine, Department of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University to investigate the role of cell adhesion proteins in cardiac development and disease. Recent research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which the cadherin-catenin complex regulates cardiomyocyte proliferation (Li et al., Circ. Res. 2015). The project utilizes genetically altered mouse models and primary cell culture.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with research training in the fields of cellular and molecular biology. Experience in cardiomyocyte isolation and neonatal cardiomyocyte culture is highly preferred. Background in cell mechanics is desirable. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow scientifically and work with a dynamic group of investigators studying important and exciting aspects of cardiac regeneration. Thomas Jefferson University offers a world-class research environment, very attractive benefits, and an appealing location in Center City Philadelphia.

Candidates with experience in cardiomyocyte biology and animal models should send letter explaining their interest in the research, curriculum vitae and names of 3 references to Glenn Radice.
