A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for a talented, motivated, and hard-working postdoc seeking to expand his/her knowledge of bacterial pathophysiology and bacterial-host interaction using model pathogen, Mycobacterium tuberculosis (causative agent of tuberculosis).  Dr. Hyungjin Eoh’s lab uses a cutting-edge high technology, Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry associated Metabolomics, an OMICS technology, which is applied to multiple research areas including drug mode-of-action and resistant mechanisms, new drug targets, novel vaccine platforms and conceptually novel biomarkers.

Successful candidate should have a recent PhD degree in Biological sciences and related research discipline and published at least one research article in a peer-reviewed journal as first author. He/she will have a postdoctoral scholar research associate appointment with the Molecular Microbiology and Immunology Department at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. Experience with BSL3 facility manipulating virulent bacterial pathogens or LCMS metabolomics projects will be advantageous.
