摘要:

A postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately at the Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC), located on the West Campus of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). OHSU offers a highly interactive research environment and superb opportunities for career development in a spectacular Pacific Northwest setting.

This purpose of this position is to perform studies in support of maternal programming of early onset obesity in nonhuman primate models with Dr. Paul Kievit. The Kievit Laboratory is part of the Division of Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism and has several areas of research focus. A major focus of our group is to determine the impact of maternal nutrition on metabolic outcomes in offspring, as well as studies that focus on therapeutic interventions. All of the studies in our group involve both rodents and nonhuman primates and use a variety of histochemical and molecular techniques, as well as rodent surgical techniques including hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamps and stereotaxic brain cannulations.

Applicants must have a PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience with animal models and the above mentioned surgical techniques.

Individuals with diverse backgrounds and those who promote diversity and a culture of inclusion are encouraged to apply. OHSU provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity, affirmative-action organization.
