Description: A Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Laboratory for Computational High-Throughput Genomics, Department of Preventive Medicine, University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
The focus for this position is on computational data analysis of high-throughput DNA sequencing data and computational method development in the following potential areas:
• Transcriptional regulation and epigenetics (ENCODE Consortium)
• Disease genomics and genetics, cancer genomics
• Computational method development for genomics and NGS
Qualified individuals may also conduct experimental work with focus on genomics and DNA sequencing. See below for a list of publications relevant to our research program.
Requirements: We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual with a strong background in any of the following areas:
• Genomics and genetics
• Computational biology
• Probability and statistics
Prior experience in any areas related to genomics is a strong plus. Experimental experience in molecular biology is a plus. Strong publication record is a must.
