The post doc is positioned at Occupational and Environmental Medicine within the Sound Research Unit . Our research is highly multidisciplinary and focuses on human response to sound and vibration and the impact on health including sleep, cognition, hearing, stress and cardiovascular outcomes. Our department has a strong tradition of epidemiological studies and we would like to strengthen this with this position. The research project will evaluate the impact of noise/sound and vibration from trains on health outcomes such as sleep, medication intake and cardiovascular illness using epidemiological methods. The project includes unique possibilities to derive exposure response functions of health and measured vibration exposures. The theoretical explanatory mechanisms include sociological, psychological and biological components.

Subject area
Environmental medicine and Epidemiology

Specific subject description
Epidemiological investigations into the impact on human health of sound and vibration exposure at home.

Job assignments
