Job Description
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available for a highly motivated recent graduated pathologist, to integrate diagnostic pathology with cancer biology for pre-clinical translational projects. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team of pathologists and investigators in cancer research, providing pathology support to biomarker discovery and validation projects especially in lung cancer as well as other solid tumors, and also cancer immunoprofiling. During our fellowship the candidate will be familiar with, if not expert in, immunohistochemistry validation and optimization, digital image analysis for pathology quantitation and multiplex immunohistochemistry. Good training in tumor histopathology and immunohistochemistry interpretation is essential. Experience in histopathology of mouse models is desirable. The position requires an MD with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology or their foreign equivalent. A Ph.D. degree in a related field will be desirable. The candidate must be self-motivated, ethical, team spirited, and must have good communicational, organizational and writing skills. The successful candidate is expected to spend at least a 2-year fellowship, renewable. |
