Postdoc
(Ref-No. 132/2015)

Description:
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Division of Redox Regulation, which offers a highly interactive and collaborative scientific environment. A major interest of our laboratory is the role of hydrogen peroxide as a messenger in signal transduction and the principles of protein redox regulation by reversible thiol modifications. The position is available to work on the question of how endogenous oxidants interact with signaling pathways. We employ a broad range of techniques, ranging from live-cell imaging with biosensors and genome engineering to redox proteomics and biochemistry.

Your profile:
A PhD in life sciences, advanced knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry and/or cell biology, and substantial laboratory experience are required. The successful candidate must be fluent in English, with excellent writing and communication skills. Please submit your application with a letter of motivation, a statement of research interests, CV, list of publications, transcripts of university certificates and contact information of 2-3 referees.

The position is limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension. The position can in principle be part-time.

The German Cancer Research Center is committed to increase the percentage of female scientists and encourages female applicants to apply. Among candidates of equal aptitude and qualifications, a person with disabilities will be given preference.
