Overview
We are seeking a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Fellow who will be responsible for tissue culture work, routine lab chores and assisting basic lab work. Primary responsibility includes maintaining a lab notebook, routine lab chores, assistng with other lab tasks as needed. This involves the skill to work in sterile condition, freezing and thawing cell lines, preparation of cells and experiemtns for screening and validating novel biologically-based drugs by standard cytotoxicity tests, flow cytometry and immunoblottings. Additional responsibilities include assisting our tissue bank in processing patient peripheral blood and bone marrow samples, as well as animal work. The successful candidate will be very organized, a team player and able to work flexible hours in order to accommodate experimetnal needs.
This position combines two elements: basic research in cancer biology and the management of laboratory operations. Our lab group studies signaling pathways that control the growth and surgival of normal cells. When these pathways become subverted in cancer cells this leds tounrestrained growth. The successful applicant will conduct reserch on strategies to modulate these pathways as a treatment for cancer. In additional, he/she will manage laboratory supplies, regulation compliance and interations with collaborators. Thus, we are looking for a bright, motivated, dedicated individual with strong scientific, organizational and inter-personal skills.

40 hours a week
Monday – Friday
