摘要:

A postdoctoral position is available in the Franzini research group affiliated with the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah (Salt Lake City). The preferred start date for this appointment is between October 2015 and January 2016.

Position summary:

The candidate will perform research at the interface of Chemistry, Biology and Medicine pursuing the development of experimental therapeutic modalities with translational potential as anticancer agents. Research activities will focus on the design and development of reaction-based therapeutics and molecular tumor-targeting strategies. These projects will involve the synthesis and characterization of lead molecules and their assessment in biological assays and disease models.

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate is highly motivated to advance his/her career by implementing ambitious research projects and has a demonstrated ability to work independently. Minimal requirements include a Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry or a related discipline as well as excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of preparative and analytical Chemistry.
