Two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Prof. Walter Marcotti, who is supported by a Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator Award at the University of Sheffield, UK.

Marcotti’s laboratory uses a combination of techniques including electrophysiology and 2P confocal imaging/ungaging applied to several mouse models to investigate the mechanisms responsible for the development and function of the auditory circuitry, including how sound information is encoded at the sensory hair cell ribbon synapses.

Qualified candidates should have a strong interest in sensory systems and strong expertise in 2-P imaging and/or electrophysiology.
