The laboratory of Matthias Mann in the Department of Proteomics and Signal Transduction at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry offers a post-doc position and/or Ph.D. position in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Our department is one of the leaders in the field and covers all of its aspects, starting from methods development, through bioinformatic research and basic biology and medical applications. Our group has a long history of technological developments in mass spectrometry and has an excellent network in this field. The projects available now involve cutting edge and next generation MS technology and its application in clinical proteomics. You will be making an impact in proteomics in general and in the clinic in particular. We are looking for candidates with a solid analytical training and an excellent publication record that will thrive in a supportive and extremely multi-disciplinary environment.
