摘要:

A Postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ethan Goldberg in the Division of Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Research Institute.

Dr. Goldberg’s laboratory focuses on basic mechanisms of cerebral cortical circuit function and cortical circuit dysfunction in epilepsy; his laboratory aims to translate these insights into the development of novel therapeutic strategies in experimental model systems. The laboratory uses multiple modern neuroscience techniques, including electrophysiology, opto- and chemicogenetics, and 2-photon calcium imaging in mice in vivo and in acute brain slices. The laboratory is interdisciplinary in its approaches and highly collaborative with other groups at CHOP and The University of Pennsylvania.

Requirements
The desired candidate must be highly motivated and a recent graduate with a PhD and/or MD in neuroscience or an applied field. Experience with one or more of the techniques employed in the lab, and/or a background in computer programming or engineering, is strongly preferred. An interest in computational and quantitative approaches towards physiology and imaging data is an asset.

Interested individuals should send a cover letter, CV, and three references and/or letters of recommendation. Candidates must also complete a profile on our website at www.chop.edu/careers.
