Postdoctoral Researcher (Physicist)
CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology
Grade 7: £30,434 – £37,394 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Postdoctoral Researcher (Physicist) to join the Department of Oncology. You will work closely with both University and NHS teams to develop state of the art medical imaging techniques and dose deposition algorithms and support their use in clinical trials.

You will be responsible for a range of activities including identifying and developing scientific research projects and supporting the treatment imaging components of clinical trials in photon as well as proton based treatment. You will also act as a link between NHS service and University research groups within theCRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology, for treatment imaging matters and adaptive treatment.

You will have a PhD in imaging, medical physics or a related subject, as well as clinical experience of dose calculation and planning. Experience of successfully preparing and submitting scientific data for publication is also required for this role.
This is a full time post and is offered until 31 March 2017 in the first instance.
