A postdoctoral position is available immediately in a Parkinson’s disease research lab housed within the University of Washington at Seattle. Our lab employs a range of techniques to study biochemical and cellular consequences of Parkinson’s disease, including effects of chemical toxicants, functional effects of key gene mutations, and cell-to-cell communication following changes in Parkinson’s-related proteins, as well as comprehensive examination of human biosamples.

Requirements: 
A PhD in Biology/Biochemistry or similar field, with a record of successful research and publication is required. Experience with cellular models of disease is highly valued, and candidates with previous training in biochemical techniques, particularly focusing on protein-protein interactions, are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will demonstrate skill in creative and independent experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, communication of findings, and excellent manuscript writing ability.
