Henkel, the world market leader in adhesives, sealants and surface technologies, is known for innovative chemistry and materials as the backbone of its product lines. Our products address many important markets, such as the packaging, automotive and electronics industries as well as craftsmen and consumers. Committed to keeping its innovation pipeline filled with new products, Henkel is constantly devising and developing new active compounds, technologies, processes and raw materials, both in-house and in collaboration with partners. To further strengthen its ties to academia, Henkel Adhesive Technologies has created in 2010 a new research laboratory in collaboration with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which was extended in 2013 to more research areas on an increased surface. We are now looking for talented scientists with an interest in industrial research to support several challenging R&D projects.
 

Description

Requirements: PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, Organic chemistry. Excellent level of English language. Research topics: Innovative early-phase or advanced research projects related to Henkel's adhesives products. Where: Henkel Advanced Technology Laboratory, in Eureka building. Parc de Recerca, UAB When: No applications considered after June 1st, 2015 Duration: 12 months with the option of extension (+ 12 months), full-time, 37.5 hours. Your Qualifications: You hold a PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry and Organic / Inorganic Chemistry. You enjoy application-oriented experimental work and are proficient in documenting your results. Due to our strong international focus, fluency in English is a must. An open minded and self-motivated personality is important, as well as the ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team.
