Postdoctoral Research Position in Vascular Biology : Augusta, United States

Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Gabor Csanyi in the Vascular Biology Center at the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University. The laboratory utilizes a variety of molecular and physiological approaches to investigate key questions in the fields of vascular biology and pathophysiology. The individuals will carry out research projects related to new pathways in redox biology in the area of vascular physiology and disease. The laboratory utilizes multiple approaches involving cell biology, molecular biology, redox chemistry, mouse models, biochemistry, histology, and imaging.
 

Description

Candidates must hold a recent (less than two years) PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree, have prior publications, and be extremely hardworking and motivated to pursue top-notch scientific investigation. Applicants should have strong expertise in cell and molecular biology and signaling. Background in basic mouse work is desired but not required. The laboratory is located in one of the most exciting research environments at Georgia Regents University, offering many exciting opportunities for career development. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to develop new scientific projects, acquire new skills, write manuscripts and grant applications, and participate in seminars and other academic activities, including presentations at national conferences.
