As a post-doctoral scientist in the Diabetes department, you will have the opportunity to apply novel pharmalogical approaches to improve adipose tissue function and make a difference to the lives of type 2 diabetic patients. In particular, you will be developing new tools for adipose tissue targeting of drugs, including identifying and characterizing novel ligands to be used for adipose targeting and testing both in vitro and in vivo. You will have the opportunity to work with excellent scientists across many disciplines, and have access to state of the art technology platforms in our facilities. In addition, this is a unique opportunity to participate in, and gain knowledge of, the drug discovery process.
