摘要:

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated candidate to utilize CRISPR/Cas9 nucleases for targeted modification of regulatory features and transcription factors in dendritic cells as part of a multi-investigator U01 project and to construct nucleases to inactivate HIV provirus in latent cellular reservoirs as part of a multi-investigator R01 project. These studies will focus on utilizing cutting-edge nuclease technologies to understand gene regulatory networks that are central to the response of dendritic cells to immune-related stimulus and to develop nucleases that efficiently excise HIV proviral genomes in CD4+ resting memory T-cells. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related biomedical science. In addition, the potential candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be prepared to present research results at national meetings. Prior experience with nuclease platforms, gene regulatory networks, cell culture, deep sequencing technologies, HIV research and mouse models is advantageous, but not required. Applicants should send a letter (via email) describing their current research activities and their interest in this position, a CV (including publications) and contact information for three references, including your Ph.D. advisor.
