    Preferably a structural biologist, but can be from a related field (biophysics, physical chemistry, cell biology). Previous experience with fluorescence imaging or spectroscopy is welcome. A successful candidate will be developing, testing and applying a novel structural biology technique, two-photon polarization microscopy (Lazar & al., Nature Methods 2011;8(8):684-90) and related techniques, in order to obtain structural information on various membrane proteins. The project may require purification and crystallization of fluorescent proteins (FPs) and FP-containing constructs, X-ray data collection and analysis, biophysical and optical experiments on fluorescent constructs, structural interpretation of biophysical data, and molecular dynamics simulations. We are looking for a versatile, playful scientist with both wet lab and computational skills, for a both visually and intellectually stimulating project.
