Opportunities for POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS
in Regenerative Medicine at the
Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Warmia and Mazury
(FMS-UWM) Olsztyn, Poland
The FMS-UWM is dedicated to advancing the filed of regenerative medicine with the focus on treatment of neurological disorders. Currently the FMS-UWM is expanding its ongoing preclinical and clinical research programs in cell-based therapy of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Postdoctoral positions are available on a collaborative project between FMS-UWM and The Johns Hopkins University to study the role of glial cells in the pathology of ALS and to assess applicability of grafting glial progenitor cells as a treatment strategy for ALS. Successful candidates will be recent doctoral graduates holding MD or PhD degree with thorough background in cell biology and neurology, and, excellent verbal and written English skills. Must have at least one first author publication in international peer reviewed journal. Previous experience in molecular biology, cell culture, cell transplantation in small or large animals and immunocyto/histochemistry is highly desirable.
We offer three-year contract, internationally competitive salary and stimulating work environment in a multi-institutional, international research group.
