摘要:
Two postdoctoral fellowship positions are available immediately to work on malaria transmission biology at Johns Hopkins University. The applicant must be self-motivated and have completed or will complete a PhD or MD/PhD degree by February 2015 and have demonstrated success publishing in international peer-reviewed journals that are indexed on PubMed.

Given the interdisciplinary nature of the laboratory, the applicant must have a strong background in molecular biology, molecular cell biology and/or protein biochemistry. Priority will be given to applicants who have a background in human or murine malaria research (i.e., parasitology) as well as vector biologists (molecular medical entomologists) looking to move into cross-discipline research working directly with the pathogen. Preference will also be given to those who work on other pathogen/vector models and have extensive expertise in tissue culture and mouse models of disease.

Although US citizenship or permanent residency is not mandatory, individuals who fit this description are strongly encouraged to apply since there are unique opportunities for individual competitive fellowships that can help bolster your CV and the principal investigator is heavily committed to a thorough postdoctoral training plan that can lead to independent positions for all trainees.

All applicants must be absolutely fluent in English (both written and spoken) and be open to a phone/SKYPE or in-person interview with the principal investigator.

Applications received by November 28, 2014 will be prioritized but applications will be accepted until January 31, 2015 unless the positions have been filled.
