Duties: The Postdoctoral fellow will 1) conduct experiments to optimize fermentation for producing biofuels and bio-based products; 2) supervise graduate and undergraduate students on different projects; 3) present research results at professional meetings; 4) publish project results at peer-reviewed journals; and 5) write proposals for getting external grants.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Engineering and Science, be proficient in fermentation under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, have experience on batch, fed-batch and continuous fermentation schemes, and have broad background in biochemical processes and expertise in molecular biology. Experience with Aspen Plus is a plus. In addition, the candidate should be passionate about research on renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
