We are seeking highly motivated individuals for a postdoctoral position in the Musculoskeletal Research Center, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine. The position is in the laboratory of Dr. Thorsten Kirsch. Our laboratory is interested in understanding of the mechanisms that regulate the differentiation of stem cells along the musculoskeletal lineages with the goal to identify novel therapeutic strategies for musculoskeletal tissue repair. In addition, our laboratory is interested to identify novel treatment strategies for post-traumatic osteoarthritis and osteoarthritis. The position requires a PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or closely related discipline. The successful candidate should have experience with transgenic and knockout mouse models.
