A postdoc position is available at the Guo lab at the University of California, Davis – Sacramento campus to study the molecular mechanism underlying oligodendroglial myelination, demyelination and remyelination using mouse genetic model and molecular biology techniques. The successful applicant should have a PhD in neuroscience or others. Solid background and techniques in molecular and cellular biology and at least one peer-reviewed publication are required. High motivation, critical thinking and multi-task are expected. Prior experience in the research using mouse models is preferred but not required.

The working place will be at the 6th floor of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Northern California at UC Davis Sacramento campus. This position initially offers one year, but could be extended to 3 years based on the performance and funding. The expected start date is January, 2015.

Successful candidates will be offered competitive stipend/salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
