The Perissi Lab at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join in our efforts to investigate how transcriptional corepressors contribute to regulating cellular homeostasis and energy metabolism. Recent work in our lab has focused on GPS2, a component of the NCoR/SMRT nuclear receptor corepressor complex, in the regulation of inflammation and lipid metabolism in adipose tissue (Cardamone et al., Molecular Cell 2012; Cardamone et al., Cell Reports 2014).

Important requirements for this position are: being passionate about science, having good communication and organization skills, being able to work in a highly interactive team, and holding a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or a related field. In addition, the ideal candidate has a strong background in molecular biology and biochemical techniques and has at least one first-author publication in peer-reviewed journal from his/her doctoral work. Preference will be given to candidates who also have experience in metabolic studies in mice and/or a background in transcriptional regulation.
