Postdoc of Condensed Matter Theory Niels Bohr Institute Faculty of Science University of Copenhagen The position is aimed at theoretical studies of unconventional superconductors including cuprates and iron pnictides. The content of the job is broadly defined, but important topics are the role of correlations, and spin and charge fluctuations in these systems. Interesting and unusual electronic properties are also expected in the case intrinsically and/or extrinsically generated spatial inhomogeneity which may, when understood properly, be used to both manipulate and obtain fundamental understand of these fascinating materials. The project is sponsored by the Villum Foundation, and the position runs for two years.

Description

The position will be part of a growing research environment including collaboration with researchers within the broader condensed matter group at NBI. Additional Job Details

Terms of employment The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is currently up to DKK 403,682 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 69,030). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
