A position for a postdoc/Ph.D. student is open for the project: Mechanisms of isoform-specific regulation of L-type Ca2+ channels by protein kinases
We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student to take part of our exciting research that focuses on the regulation of cardiac L-type calcium channels by protein kinases and its implication to normal and pathologic cardiac physiology. Methodologies and techniques include: recombinant DNA and RNA techniques, cell transfection, immunocytochemistry, confocal microscopy, protein biochemistry and electrophysiology.
This project is in collaboration with German researchers located in Berlin, and mutual visits and methodology exchange are part of the project.
Preferred background: electrophysiology and/or cell culture and confocal microscopy.
