A full-time research position is available in the area of technical development for Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging, with application to diagnostic medical imaging of the brain. The position is available as a postdoctoral fellowship or research scientist for qualified applicants.

The primary area of research will be for development of MR Spectroscopic Imaging data processing and image analysis methods and implementation of quantitative MRI methods. The project will include development of image processing and analysis software using IDL, C, and Java. Experience with MRI pulse sequence development using Siemens/IDEA/ICE would be of added benefit, although not a requirement. The position will offer opportunities for collaborative research into clinical applications of MRI. Duties will also entail preparation of scientific reports, conference presentations, and software documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate should have a PhD degree in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related fields, and experience with MRI or other medical imaging methods. Experience with MRI pulse sequence development, parallel imaging methods, spectral analysis, and DICOM standards, is beneficial.

Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
