A postdoctoral research associate position is available immediately at Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University. Our laboratory is focused on understanding how mechanical forces promote lung development. Currently, we are using in vivo tracheal occlusion and pulmonary hypoplasia fetal mouse models. The generation of a conditional transgenic mouse is also anticipated. This position includes fetal surgery, managing of breeding colonies and standard cell and molecular biology techniques. Candidates must have a Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or related fieldand experience with laboratory benchwork. In addition, experience with animal surgery is also desirable.
