Postdoctoral Fellow : Frederick, MD, United States

The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research related to the reformulation of small molecule drugs using nanotechnology platforms, and evaluation of these formulations in appropriate animal models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a doctoral degree from an accredited college/university in a field related to pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, or chemistry.

- Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.

- No experience required beyond the educational requirement; however candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of drug formulation with the requisite analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, DSC, DLS/Zetasizer, XRD spectroscopy, SEM, GPC).

- Candidates should have made contributions to the field of drug development and/or nanomedicine as evidenced by authoring and co-authoring publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and/or by presenting papers at national/international scientific conferences.

- This position is subject to obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in nanotechnology drug reformulation, specifically background in formulation of polymeric nanoparticles; some knowledge of drug metabolism-pharmacokinetics (DMPK); ability to work independently in a cross-disciplinary setting.
