The Department of Physics & Astronomy invites applications for a postdoctoral appointment to conduct research in areas of theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum information science related to qubit decoherence mechanisms and coherence preservation techniques. Candidates are expected to have experience in two or more of the following fields: quantum error correction; quantum dynamics of many-body systems; quantum phase transitions; spin glass theory. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The initial appointment will be for one year, with possible extensions for up to two additional years depending on the progress and funds availability.
