University of Manitoba, Canadian Institutes of Health Research-funded position (3 yr) in Division of Neurodegenerative Disorders at St Boniface Research Centre in Winnipeg, Canada. Project will study impact of diabetes on mitochondrial function in adult neurons. Signal transduction pathways involving AMPK and PGC-1a will be studied. Required skills include intracellular imaging, gene expression analysis and neuronal cell culture. Experience with virus-mediated over-expression of genes advantageous.
