摘要:

Postdoc in Stem Cells : Singapore, Singapore

Responsibilities

Our laboratory is broadly interested in systems and synthetic biology and leverages on genomics, high throughput approaches, and new technology to study regulatory networks in various biomedical contexts.

We have one open position for a postdoctoral research fellow to investigate the systems biology of human pluripotent stem cells. We are using CRISPR and other genome editing technologies to perturb the regulatory network in stem cells and to study the phenotypes of different engineered pluripotent cell lines. Specifically, the postdoc will be involved in generating gene knockouts and specific disease-associated mutations in embryonic stem cells and patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells and in differentiating the modified cells into various cell types, including neurons, cardiomyoctes, and hepatocytes. The postdoc will also be required to perform downstream functional or genomic characterizations to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the observed phenotypes.

There will be ample opportunities to interact closely with bioinformaticians/ computational biologists and other research groups in NTU or the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS).

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow with proven academic track record and interest in interdisciplinary research. The successful candidate should have:

• a PhD in developmental biology, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biomedical engineering, or related field
• rich experience in stem cells, genomics (e.g. RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, or HITS-CLIP), CRISPR, and systems biology
• at least one first-author publication in a well-respected journal
• demonstrated the ability to work well in teams

Application Procedure

Interested applicants please send your full CV, with the names and contacts (including email addresses) of 2 character referees, to A/Prof TAN Meng How at mh.tan@ntu.edu.sg or tanmh@gis.a-star.edu.sg.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
