The  Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR) at the University of Pennsylvania is presently seeking  post-doctoral candidates interested in translational research on neurodegenerative disorders such Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease as well as ALS and Frontotemporal Degeneration. Applicants should have recently received a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, biochemistry or a related specialty. The successful candidate will assist in the assessment and study of  mouse models of neurodegenerative disease. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in neurodegenerative disease research, with demonstrated expertise in cell culture, molecular biology and studies of animal models of neurodegenerative disorders. Training in immunohistochemistry and protein biochemistry is also highly desirable.

The CNDR provides a vigorous and highly collaborative research environment in which post-doctoral fellows participate in team-based projects, with exposure to the drug discovery process. Moreover, post-doctoral fellows typically participate in regular CNDR seminar series and interactive journal clubs.
