Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Officer to work full time on a 12 month project funded by the Leverhulme Centre for Integrative Research in Agriculture and Health (LCIRAH). The Research Officer will work on the project “Food price and food security impacts of dietary transition”. You will be based at SOAS in London, working within the London International Development Centre in collaboration with the Food Climate Research Network (FCRN) and the Royal Veterinary College (RVC).

You will have a PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Health Economics or a related field with interests in topics such as human food security and nutrition, food systems, agricultural commodity markets, or livestock production systems, and a good understanding of agricultural / food or health issues in development. You will have experience with conducting critical literature reviews, identifying studies and data sets to use in the research, preparing datasets for analysis, and applying  empirical analytical procedures before writing-up results for team collaboration and/or publication.

A relevant emerging publication record will be required.

You will be supervised by the Principal Investigator of the project (Professor Andrew Dorward); together with the Co-Investigators Dr Tara Garnett (FCRN) and Professor Jonathan Rushton (RVC), within a wider LCIRAH research team..

Annual leave is 30 days per year pro-rata plus statutory and bank holidays. USS pension scheme will be available
